Skycharge is looking for a technical professional to act as the operational point of reference for product assembly and testing at its new production site in Rovereto, located at Progetto Manifattura. The role is part of the launch of the company’s Italian production operations. Joining at this stage means contributing to the set-up of the workshop and the organisation of the first production processes.
What to expect
You will join Skycharge during the initial set-up of its Italian production operations, helping to build the Rovereto workshop from the ground up: selecting equipment, organising the workspace and defining the first working processes. During the first year, you will work with a good level of autonomy, with the opportunity to grow into a production responsibility role as the team expands. An initial training period at the Berlin office is planned, lasting approximately two to four weeks. The role also involves travel within Europe to customer sites for installation and commissioning. This currently takes place around twice a year, with the frequency expected to increase over time. The gross annual salary ranges from €25,000 to €35,000, depending on experience and skills. The CCNL Metalmeccanica Industria collective agreement applies. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with flexible start times between 8:00 and 10:00 and a one-hour lunch break. There are no mandatory company shutdown periods.
Position
You will be responsible for wiring electrical panels and product wiring, working with sensors, connectors and power supplies using crimping, cable lugs and wire labelling techniques. You will also carry out soldering on cables and connectors.
The role also includes:
- assembling pre-machined mechanical components using screws and small hardware, with no requirement for metal fabrication or structural welding skills;
- carrying out electrical checks and functional testing, including documenting the results;
- managing warehouse stock according to established minimum stock levels;
- handling supplier orders, incoming goods and packaging;
- contributing to the day-to-day organisation of the new Rovereto workshop.
Requirements
You should have:
- a technical diploma or vocational qualification in electrical or electromechanical engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience;
- 5–10 years of experience in electrical panel wiring and machine wiring;
- the ability to read electrical diagrams;
- proficiency in crimping, cable lugs, wire labelling and soldering;
- knowledge of Italian and technical English at B1 level or above, required for daily communication with colleagues at the German office;
- a category B driving licence and willingness to travel in Italy and abroad, with travel expected to become more frequent over time;
- the ability to work independently, particularly during the initial phase when you will be working on your own.
Preferred qualifications
The following would be considered an advantage:
- PES/PAV qualification (CEI 11-27);
- basic knowledge of Siemens PLCs;
- previous experience in start-ups or small teams, where roles are broad and priorities can change quickly.
