Fondazione Bruno Kessler is looking for an Innovation Project Manager to join the Strategic Planning unit.
The role focuses on developing and managing strategic initiatives at the intersection of research, Public Administrations and the private sector, facilitating collaboration between FBK's scientific community, public institutions and commercial partners to maximise the impact of research on the territory and on the market.
What to expect
You will work within FBK Strategic Planning, collaborating with Research Centres and external partners on initiatives that connect research, innovation needs and market opportunities. The role combines relationship management and complex project coordination: you will help bring together FBK’s research capabilities, the innovation needs of Public Administrations and the priorities of companies, following strategic initiatives from scope definition through to implementation and project closure. You will work in a context that includes programmes such as AIxPA, TrentinoSalute4.0, EDIH and Grids Energy, as well as major European collaborative initiatives including IPCEI, TEF, ALT-EDIC and EDIC for AgriFood. The position is part of FBK’s Tenure Track programme, a structured career path leading to a permanent Third Level Researcher (T3) contract following a positive final assessment. The duration of the Tenure Track contract will be determined by the Committee based on the assigned KPIs, with a minimum duration of one year, which may be reduced according to the Committee’s assessment of the candidate’s abilities and skills. The position is full time, with an expected start date in January 2027, and is based in Povo, Trento. The gross annual salary is €47,100, plus an objectives achievement bonus. Benefits include flexi-time, subsidised cafeteria or meal vouchers, internal parking, supplementary pension and health fund, training opportunities, public transport and sports benefits, language course fees and Welcome Office support for visa formalities and accommodation.Position
The selected candidate will develop and manage strategic collaboration initiatives involving FBK research centres and external partners, identifying and valorising promising research solutions with a view to generating impact on the market and the territory. The role includes managing complex projects end-to-end, scope, budget, procurement, reporting, change control and implementation planning, and managing relationships with stakeholders from different organisations, sectors and institutional levels. The selected candidate will facilitate the matching between research capabilities and innovation demand from public administrations, and support strategic partnerships that strengthen FBK's positioning within the innovation ecosystem at local, national and European level.
